Our Review of the Diamondback 910lc Indoor Cycle

Time for another review.  This time it's a new bike for us, all the way from the US, with stock hopefully arriving in the next few weeks.

What are the first impressions?
First and foremost this is a great looking bike. The detailing on the bike is exceptional - a great example being the Diamondback logo on the seat. OK, so this doesn't make the ride better but it does show the attention to detail that has been lavished on this bike.
Diamondback 910lc Indoor Cycle
How Easy is the Indoor Cycle to Build? As with most indoor cycles, the Diamondback 910lc is simple to assemble. Full instructions and tools are included and if you're not sure about something then you can of course call us for advice.

What's it like to ride?
If the first impressions are good then it's just got even better. It's easy to find your optimum riding position because the seat and handlebars are adjustable, and when you start to ride the bike has a high quality feel - it's very smooth and very quiet. This bike has won the "Best Buy" award in the USA for 3 years in a row and when you ride it it's easy to see why.

Any niggles?
The position of the console on the handlebars could be better. Being in a fixed location, close to the rider, it's almost impossible to see the readout when simulating a hillclimb. Other than that we can’t find anything at all to complain about.

Anything else to add?
The Diamondback 910lc has got a great range of programs which makes this bike stand out from the crowd. For those of you aren’t sure what programs will give you then let us explain – you get a choice of programs on the bike and each program has a profile (as an example, a profile may be cycling up a hill and then cycling down the other side). The bike will automatically control the resistance for you to simulate the profile that you’ve chosen (so as you cycle up hill the resistance will make it harder to cycle, and as you cycle down hill it gets easier). The programs are selected on the console and it’s really easy to use. There are some quite advanced programs whereby you can set a target heart rate and the bike will make sure that you don’t exceed this for any period of time (you have to wear a chest strap for this feature). We find that indoor cycles with programs are popular because they keep your training sessions interesting time after time. It’s also a popular feature where multiple members of the family want to use the bike (Mum attends spin classes and wants a spin style bike; Dad wants to simulate riding up and down hills)…with this bike you can have the best of all worlds.

Overall Impression?
Really good bike. We’re so impressed with this it’s immediately being elevated to one of our “Top Rated” bikes. - See more at: Indoor Cycles
